What is the Secure Access Gateway?


Secure Access Gateway (SAG) is a service provided by Sanofi Global Infrastructure Services to assure secure and controlled access to Sanofi internal resources from remote - e.g. from the Internet.

Your way to access applications or share with Sanofi partners should not change depending where you are. Access links (URLs) are consistent, for access from within the Sanofi corporate network and from extranet. The same access links can be shared between Sanofi employees, partners and customers. The mere difference is the presence of this Secure Access Gateway and it's added incremental authentication services.
SAG is supporting remote access to several services provided by Sanofi hosted in the corporate data centers. Depending on the combination of your userID, the computer you use as well as the region and time of your access, authentication is automatically adapted to meet the security level defined for the application you are requesting to access.

Common Questions

    Why this additional authentication step?

    Up to now you have probably always accessed this application from Sanofi Intranet. Right now you are accessing from the Extranet / Internet. This requires additional authentication to assure you are the user you are claiming to be.

    Can I share links with my co-workers?

    Access links are generally the same for applications whether they are accessed from inside Sanofi or from remote. Sanofi employees, partners and customers can use the same links on an ongoing basis

    My application is not available

    Applications are not published by default. Please contact you Sanofi Contact, or application support to request making your application available from remote.

    I can not access my application

    Your security level does not permit access to your application. Applications are rated, based on their data sensitivity as well as their architecture. Not all applications are build to contain secure their assets or only include general knowledge data. Some applications may only permit access from a Sanofi managed device. Please contact your Sanofi contact to assure you have the proper access form to collaborate successfully with Sanofi.
